Q. What kind of meat is FrozenButcher.ca offering?
A. Only Certified Organic, antibiotic and hormone free.
Q. Is the meat and seafood delivered fresh or frozen?
A. All Frozen Butcher products are shipped flash frozen and individually vacuum sealed to lock in the natural juices and flavour. They are then packed in gift box and nestled in a reusable polystyrene cooler with enough reusable ice packs to ensure frozen quality delivery. The container is placed in a heavy-duty corrugated box for an additional layer of protection. This is the best way to ensure that every product is delivered in wholesome condition.
Q. In what currency are the prices listed?
A. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Q. Why frozen?
A. Frozen is the best way to ensure that the meat retains its flavour, texture and colour. The freezing process takes only minutes but the benefits are long-lasting. There is no discernible difference between fresh and flash frozen meat or seafood.
Q. Do I have to keep my meat and seafood in the freezer until I cook it?
A. You need to thaw the meat and seafood before you cook it. The only exception to this is our burgers, which you cook from frozen. Fully thawed meat can stay vacuum sealed in the fridge for up to 4 days, we recommend cooking the seafood within 2 days of thawing. 
Q. What’s the best way to defrost the products?
A. The ideal thawing process is to put your meat or seafood into the refrigerator to defrost overnight. DO NOT THAW AT ROOM TEMPERATURE OR IN HOT WATER. The burgers must be cooked from frozen. Thawing in the fridge is ideal however, if you are in a rush, you can put the vacuum sealed packages into a sink with COLD water, however please be aware that small holes can occur in the vacuum-seal during freezing, shipping or handling which is why we recommend thawing on a dish in your fridge, if you have the time.
Q. How long are steaks and seafood good in the freezer?
A. As long as they are kept at a steady freezing temperature, our meats can last from 12 – 18 months in the freezer... seafood can last from 3 – 6 months
Q. How long is the meat aged?
A. Our Canadian Angus beef is aged for 21 days to peak perfection.


Shipping

Q. Does someone have to be home to accept the package?
A. You do not have to be home to receive your order. Packages can be left at any exterior door location. Please be sure to refrigerate or freeze the product as soon as possible after delivery. If this is a gift, please alert gift recipients that a perishable gift will be delivered to them and to freeze or refrigerate all products as soon as possible upon delivery
Q. How do I determine what time the product will be delivered so that I can ensure someone is there to accept the package?
A. Orders placed Monday through Wednesday will arrive 2 days from the day you place your order. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday, will be delivered the following Tuesday. Please plan accordingly. Once your order is shipped, UPS will send you an email with a tracking number and an expected delivery date. You can verify your delivery date or track your shipment on the UPS website. While we will make every attempt to adhere to this shipping schedule as much as possible, holidays and unforeseen circumstances can force exceptions to the shipping and delivery schedule. If you have special delivery requests or you need to request a specific delivery date, please send an email to info@FrozenButcher.ca once you complete your order.
Q. If I need my order faster than the available published delivery schedule is there an additional cost?
A. If you require an order faster; please call our office and we will discuss options and pricing.
Q. How do I determine the price and shipping information associated with my order?
A. Shipping Rates vary by postal code and merchandise subtotal. Once you’ve finished shopping; the final shipping rate for your order will be determined once you proceed to checkout. * Shipping cost includes Styrofoam container and reusable ice packs.
Q. Where does The Frozen Butcher ship to?
A. Effective May 1st, 2016, The Frozen Butcher ships across Canada. All of our shipping information is available in the "About Shipping" tab.
Q. Is it possible to pick up my order instead of having it shipped?
A. Yes we offer store pick up, during check out simply select this option in shipping methods. These orders will be available for pick up at 80 Galaxy Blvd., Unit 1, Toronto ON, M4G 4B4, during our regular hours of operation. If you require special arrangements please feel free to contact us to schedule this.

Q.   How and where do I enter in a promotion code?
A.   After you have entered the products you would like to purchase, proceed to your shopping cart and in the "Promotion Code" box simply enter in your promotion code then click the "apply
  code" button, your shopping cart will be updated to reflect the promotion details. Most of our sales and discount offers have promotion codes.
Q.   How and where do I enter in a gift certificate?
A.   After you have entered the products you would like to purchase, proceed to your shopping cart and in the "Gift Cards" box simply enter your gift certificate code and click the "apply gift
